I changed course and founded ReUp Trainings in May 2018 to focus on bringing my personal narrative and professional experiences together as a way to promote healing and a call to action for leaders in high burnout professions. Building on strengths and using trauma informed practices including racial and historical trauma and the ACES Science, my goals are to 1) help us better understand how our core foundation impacts decision making at every level and 2) call on leaders to commit to being an anti racist and anti "ism's" leader and activist in the workplace. This intentional self-reflective and tactical work intersects with systems change solutions that increase productivity and efficiencies while building just, equitable and transformed workplace cultures. With the caveat that all good things are hard, ReUp Trainings has been a journey of personal and professional growth, one that has only come by the Grace of God and love and support from my husband, family, friends - my tribe, my collective community! I really do practice the 3C’s of Communication, Culture and Connection in my work places and everyday life. And while I don’t always get it right; I am getting better…

After graduating from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Social Work, I have had the pleasure of working for several community-based initiatives. Graduating amidst a global pandemic gave me the opportunity to serve on my county's COVID-19 emergency response by providing direct client services as well as supervisory and project management support. Prior to then, I interned for Mason & Partners Clinics and provided care management for our primarily Hispanic/Latinx immigrant and refugee clients.
Currently, I provide operations leadership, administrative and communications support for several nonprofit organizations. I am passionate about empowering communities and implementing innovative solutions that sustain more equitable, human-centric systems.
Leaving the cold winters of the PA behind, I went to the West Coast to attend college for chemical engineering and from there went to law school. The journey and awareness along the way and in between has brought my family closer to home, to the Metro D.C. area. Here, after having billed the long hours at firms to become specialized in all aspects of patent, trademark, and copyright law, I changed course to focus on gender equity in professional cultures and to share knowledge with women so that they can better understand their intellectual value and find their voices in the process.

After decades of intuitive painting, 30 years of mindfulness meditation and 27 years as a mental health practitioner where I conducted “heart-centered” psychotherapy and led programs in non-profit management, I have brought it all together and changed course to inspire transformational leadership. I am now focused in my journey on bringing my collective experience and awareness to others by holding a space that allows the creativity and unconscious of another's soul to emerge giving it a voice, colorful expression and texture by providing creative artful workshops.
